Blundell's is delighted to celebrate Spencer, Year 10, on his selection for the England U16 Hockey squad for this summer's Euro preparation tour in Europe, culminating in the prestigious Eight Nations Tournament in Poland in July.

His latest selection comes off the back of an already highly successful run of games for England earlier this year, having featured in both the Ireland series and the Six Nations tournament.

During the tournament, England will face strong international opposition including Spain, Germany, and Scotland as they compete for silverware.

Spencer has earned this opportunity through his outstanding performances and relentless work rate. A dynamic and exciting player, he brings maximum intensity to every game, constantly pressing the ball, harrying opponents and driving his team forward.

Blessed with a wicked turn of pace and exceptional hand skills, Spencer has already scored many goals for the Blundell's 1st XI and ISCA Men's 1st Team in the National League, a remarkable achievement at just 15 years old.

Just as impressive as his talent is Spencer's character. He is a young man who consistently shows tenacity, resilience and heart, while remaining humble in his success.

Everyone at Blundell's is incredibly proud of Spencer and this fantastic achievement.

We look forward to following his progress as he represents his country on the international stage. - Will Abell, Director of Hockey.
