This week, we join schools across the country in celebrating National Boarding Week.
A time to recognise the unique experience of boarding and the strong sense of community it fosters.
At Blundell’s, boarding is at the heart of school life. It offers pupils the chance to grow in independence, build lifelong friendships, and become part of a supportive and vibrant house community. Whether it’s weekend activities, house traditions, or late-night conversations, boarding life creates lasting memories and valuable life skills.
Throughout the week, pupils and staff have been taking part in special events to mark the occasion and reflect on what boarding means to them. It’s also a chance to thank our dedicated boarding staff who help make Blundell’s a true home from home.
As we celebrate National Boarding Week, we are reminded of the unique role boarding plays in the life of our school – helping young people to grow in confidence, take on responsibility, and develop a deep sense of belonging. To our boarders past and present, we say thank you – for your spirit, your energy, and all that you bring to Blundell’s.
