What a spectacular evening of talent, teamwork and house spirit at this year’s House Music!
The evening was a spectacular celebration of talent, teamwork and house spirit, showcasing the remarkable musical ability and enthusiasm of our pupils.
From the electrifying Solo Final to the vibrant ensembles and house anthems, every performance reflected the dedication and creativity that make this event so special.
Highlights and Results
- Overall Solo Winner: Ginevra (Year 12) – for her beautiful and expressive singing
- Ensemble Winners: Francis House – with a lively rendition of September
- House Song Winners: Gorton House – for their energetic performance of Footloose
- Best Individual Contribution: Calvin (Year 10) – recognised for his outstanding singing and virtuosic piano playing
- Commended: Dominic (Year 12) – for his remarkable versatility, performing on four instruments in Petergate’s ensemble
- Overall Winners: North Close – for an ambitious and polished programme, concluding with a show-stopping performance of Girlfriend
The evening was adjudicated by Mrs Jemima Moran, Head of Music at Axe Valley Academy, whose insightful and encouraging feedback was greatly appreciated by pupils and staff alike. A special thank you also goes to our Year 12 Music Captains, whose organisation, enthusiasm and leadership helped ensure that the evening ran seamlessly.
House Music is always a highlight of the school year, and this year’s event was no exception. The combination of musicianship, creativity and camaraderie on display made for a truly memorable night. Congratulations to every pupil who took to the stage – your energy, teamwork and joy in performing captured the very best of Blundell’s spirit.
