Senior Fees
To secure your child’s place a completed Registration Form together with a fee of £100 will need to be returned to us.
Registration reserves a provisional place for your child, conditional on satisfying the entrance criteria. Our selection process is under-pinned by academic merit and assessment is via the relevant entry examinations, an interview at the school and by references/reports from the child’s previous school.
There is also a great deal of relevant admissions information contained within our annual Current Information Booklet which can be found
here.
Blundell’s aims to attract high calibre candidates who will contribute to the community whilst making the most of the opportunities that the School has to offer. To this end we have an extensive programme of scholarships and bursaries.
The scholarship process is a competitive one in that awards are made on the basis of a pupil’s performance in their respective discipline. The process also includes a series of interviews where the pupil’s character and attitude are taken into account. We look to Scholars for leadership and initiative and to be good role models in their chosen area.
At the 11+ (Year 7) pupils may apply for Academic and Music Scholarships. At 13+ (Year 9) and 16+ (Year 12) scholarships are also awarded for Sport, Drama and Art in addition to Academic and Music Awards.
In addition to scholarships, the School also has a programme of Means Tested Bursaries. Candidates are required to apply in conjunction with applications for any of the scholarship award categories. These applications must be accompanied by a ‘Statement of Financial Means’ Form which is obtainable from the Registrar.
Finally, there are a small number of Head’s Awards which are made at the discretion of the Head.
While we are unable to run our usual events at the moment due to Covid-19 restrictions, we will be offering a Virtual Open Day on Saturday 10 October. Please contact our admissions team to book a place: 01884 232310 or admissions@blundells.org
