Clubs & Activities
The School provides a wide variety of after school clubs for the children to enjoy. The School is always open to further ideas on the types of activities that the children may enjoy. The clubs aim to provide a range of activity across all ages in the Prep school, which will encourage all pupils to have a go.
Some clubs can only take a certain number of children and waiting lists can occur, but over time this will change and usually all children will get access to the clubs of their choice. The clubs are popular and well over 50% of the Prep School children stay in to enjoy them each night. The clubs start at the end of the School day, either at 4.30pm straight after the final lesson of the day, if transport is involved, or at 4.50pm after the late afternoon snack and break, which the children enjoy from 4.30pm until 4.50pm. Clubs then finish at 5.30pm as children are then ready for the final pick up of the day. Fencing on a Friday does in fact carry on until 5.55pm.

Cost
Some clubs are free of charge and are run internally by the staff and others incur an extra charge as we have to employ external instructors. Charges are billed each term in arrears.
Registering for Clubs
All Pre-Prep and Prep School parents will receive a Clubs Request Form to complete for their child’s after-school arrangements for the beginning of the next academic year. If your child wishes to start or stop any of the clubs during an academic year then please inform the school office in writing, giving a full term’s notice. All charges are listed on the fees sheet and are based on 30 lessons across the academic year with a three week trial period. The clubs on offer are listed below: -

Lunch Time Clubs
The School also provides a range of lunch time clubs which are also popular with the children. These consist of Touch Typing which occurs twice a week, J Team Christian Union, Recorder Club, Wind Band, Strings Group and Newspaper Club. All these are free of charge.
