Hillwalking
With the proximity of Dartmoor, many pupils get to sample the joys of this bleak area of Britain. Regular trips go on throughout the year, catering for pupils from Year 9 upwards. The highlight of the year is the Ten Tors challenge walk held in May of each year.

These expeditions are distinct from CCF activities and run every two years. They are demanding both physically and mentally, and built into the expeditions are a range of community project work, trekking and cultural adventure - a unique mix that ensures it is a most exhilarating and rewarding team-building experience. The trips are available to Year 11 upwards, and parties range from 10 to 20 in size. Not surprisingly, team members return changed people with global perspectives, increased self-esteem and independence as well as something to make them stand out in a pile of UCAS or job interview forms.

In the summer of 2007 a group of ten Blundellians successfully climbed both Mt Kenya and Mt Kilimanjaro before undertaking some painting, teaching and cricket coaching at Kilaremo Primary School.
