The U14 girls represented the school (and County) in true Blundell's fashion on Saturday - they played all day in an utterly determined and committed manner. It was a tough day as expected, six games against extremely strong opposition. The girls were competitive in every game which was really pleasing and a number of individuals really played above expectations. We won 2, lost 2 narrowly that we potentially could have won, and lost a further 2 more convincingly.

The results were as follows:

v Dorset 1 (Clayesmore) 4-3 W
v Somerset 2 (King's Bruton) 4-7 L
v Avon 1 (Clifton College) 3-4 L
v Cornwall 1 (Penair) 3-11 L [Penair qualified along with Millfield for the National Finals]
v Wiltshire 1 (St Edmunds) 15-2 W
v Gloustershire 2 (Stroud College) 2-5 L

Squad: Abbie Rees-Davies, Grace Francis, Grace Belcher, Anna Gabbitass, Tabby Vause, Millie Eaton-Jones, George Pitts, Issie Fitzroy, Robyn Cock, Fenella Mably - Well done to all of them.

The day was a great experience for the girls. Hopefully it gave some of them aspirations for the future as they were able to watch some excellent netball not only in their own age group but at U16 and U19 level as well. I hope that Blundell's can feature again at the SW Regional Round in the not to distant future.
