2014 Captain of Cross Country: NC/W

Quantock Relays: At the Quantock relays last Wednesday a strong first leg by Frank Thornton-Wood set up the Blundell's A-team nicely and with further good runs in ideal conditions from Dougal Glaisher, Ben Rice and Karl Still – the team were able to finish a very creditable second place overall out of 11 teams.  The girls team, ably led by Ruth Squires, finished eighth overall but were the second girls team home. The Blundell's boys B team finished seventh.

King's Cup: The XC team were in action on Thursday at the Kings Cup meet on the Blackdown Hills.  All ran well but particularly the now familiar duo of Karl Still (3rd) and Dougal Glaisher (4th) in the boys' race.  Ruth Squires ran an excellent race in gruelling conditions to come 1st in the Girls' competition.  Blundells came an impressive 2nd overall.  Well done to all.

Mammoth Trophy 2014: A cross-country squad of 14 took part in a heavily contested fixture at Clatworthy reservoir on Saturday. A gruelling 5 mile run by 75 competitors from 6 schools saw Blundell's come a creditable third overall. All who took part performed admirably with standout performances by Karl Still and Dougal Glaisher who came 6th and 7th respectively.
