Born
Son of John Laskey Dobell (Electrical Engineer) and Fanny Phyllis Dobell of South Gifford House, Aveton Gifford, Devon.
Education
Blundell’s School, “School House”, from the age of 14.
January 1911 – Christmas 1913.
He passed into the Navy with a Public School Entry.
Royal Naval Technical College, Keyham, Devonport, Plymouth.
Service
He served at sea throughout the war and in January went to Cambridge to complete his training.
Death
1st Mar 1919, aged 22.
Whilst at Cambridge he contracted Meningitis and died after a few days illness.
