Blundell's is... a friendly and supportive community

The pastoral care at Blundell’s ensures that each individual pupil is known and cared for throughout their time at the school. All pupils, whether they are day pupils or boarders, are included in the life of the boarding houses and a House Tutor, allocated to each pupil, takes responsibility not just for academic development but also the development of the pupil’s all round character.

School House, for Years 7 and 8, is a safe environment for young pupils to explore all the opportunities and possibilities at the school before moving into one of the five Houses for Years 9 to 12 (three for boys and two for girls). In Year 13 all pupils come together again in Westlake to create an environment offering greater independence and responsibility appropriate to senior pupils.

Our pastoral commitment is to form a strong supportive relationship with the pupil in partnership with parents in order to create the secure and happy environment in which young people can flourish.
