Minibus Service

[ Minibus Service | Routes, Charges and Times ]

Blundell’s School runs a minibus service to and from school on a daily basis as per the attached schedule.

Each minibus is capable of carrying 16 passengers and there is no plan to hire larger vehicles.

If you would like your child to use this facility, please fill in an application form by 1st August. We ask you to supply your telephone number(s) so we are able to contact you in an emergency, or if the minibus is late.

There have been a few changes since last year so please check the routes page, which shows the minibus routes, charges and times. Please indicate on the application form (available from Mrs Merriam in the main school office, on 01884 252543) which route you would like to use.

We ask you to be aware of the following rules if your child travels on a minibus: -

  1. Passengers are to wear seat belts at all times when in the minibus. Failure to do so may result in your child being denied the use of the service.
  2. Parents/Guardians are at the pick-up/drop-off points on time. This is more important at pick-up times as drivers will be unable to wait.
  3. Passengers are asked to respect the minibuses. Damage to the vehicle or the leaving of litter may result in your child being denied use of the service.

Fuel prices have risen by a significant amount during the year, which is reflected in the increase in charges from September 2006 on a three-tier tariff as shown against each route. Payment will be raised on the school bill and all trips booked will be charged for.

This service is run by men and motor vehicles, and at times both go wrong. In such eventualities we ask for your understanding and co-operation.
