Religious Studies KS3

The Common Entrance syllabus, which is broadly followed during Years 7 and 8, is designed to give pupils an introduction to some parts of the Bible and to some important Biblical themes.

The course encourages discussion of contemporary issues as well as matters of personal concern and their relationship to religious ideas.

In addition, Year 7 will study Judaism; its beliefs, rituals and practices.

The aim is to encourage in pupils an appreciation of the authority that religious experience has in the lives of some human beings and to relate that experience to their own lives.
