Physics at Blundell's
The whole school from years 7-9 has weekly timetabled lessons in which they are taught the three sciences separately. At the end of year 9, they have the option to study all three sciences as separate GCSE's. As well as being able to study Physics as a GCSE or A-level you can also join the Astronomy Society and the Rocket Club. The department is particularly well resourced with technical equipment. SMART Boards and multimedia projectors in each laboratory enable us to display physics images, video clips and animations to whole classes. Our wide range of practical equipment enables students to undertake many investigations. The department is fully wireless networked, and ICT is regularly used as a teaching and learning resource.
There are four teachers in the department, plus a full-time lab technician.
