The GCSE course for years 10 and 11 is the OCR Modern World History. We specifically cover the Peace Treaties at the end of the First World War, the failure of the League of Nations and the collapse of international peace.
For the Depth Study, we focus on the USA 1919-1941, specifically the economic growth in the 1920s, the Roaring Twenties, the Wall Street Crash, and FDR and the New Deal.
Coursework is completed on Twentieth Century Germany, specifically the Hitler Youth, women in Nazi Germany and opposition to Hitler. Our second piece of coursework focuses on Stalin to consider the question "Man or Monster?"
